Project Pinewood - October 2009 Update

The planning applications for Project Pinewood were submitted to South Bucks District Council in June 2009. The Council has consulted with relevant statutory consultees and has received a range of responses to the applications from them and other parties. A determination by the Council's planning committee is scheduled for 21 October.

We are pleased to announce that the planning application for Project Pinewood was submitted to South Bucks District Council on 1st June 2009. The application has been validated and is currently on consultation.

Pinewood Studios announces the submission of the planning application for Project Pinewood

Pinewood Studios today announced that following extensive public consultation, it will today be submitting the planning application to South Bucks District Council for Project Pinewood, a long term scheme of national significance to create a living and working community for the creative industries.

Project Pinewood is the most innovative and forward looking strategic initiative in the UK screen and related industries, designed to achieve economic efficiencies in filming and reduction in carbon emissions.

In November 2007, the company announced proposals for the development, which is aimed at building upon the existing and developing creative hub at Pinewood Studios.

Oscar and BAFTA Success for Pinewood Studios

Pinewood and Shepperton Studios were both awarded a BAFTA during the ceremony
held on 8th February for their Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema.

A report on the Employee, Stakeholder and Industry Expert Workshops

In January The Pinewood Studios Group appointed a project team to develop the Project Pinewood concept into a proposal which will be the subject of extensive public consultation. This report contains a summary of the feedback received over the course of employee, stakeholder and tenant workshops held in May 2008.

Project Pinewood - Spring update

Black Park is now only a short walk from Iver Heath. At the request of Iver parish council, Pinewood Studios has created a new footpath linking Iver Heath to Black Park which is to be opened on 25th April at 11.00am by representatives of the Studios and the Parish Council.

Statement regarding proposed plans for the extension of Pinewood Studios

Pinewood Shepperton plc ("the Company") today announces its intention to seek approval from the relevant planning authorities for a significant extension to Pinewood Studios, on land adjacent to the existing Pinewood site. This proposal, known as "Project Pinewood", will create the world's first purpose-built Film and Television 'live-work' community and ultimately a cluster for the wider creative industries. In doing this, Project Pinewood will combine the vocational requirements of the national and international film and television industries with the UK Government's demand for sustainable communities.
